The restless mind decided to cheat
To follow impulse in holiday heat
Filling bags with items on sale
Leaving a sweaty, anxious trail
Rushing to get the latest item
To add to his guilt, his tower and totem
Instead of building a lasting state
He could not resist but took the bait

Until there was nothing but starving doubt.
